Upcoming Classes 10/23/2009

“Business Supervisory Series-Intermediate Modules.” Pre-registrations must be made at least ten days in advance of each module.  The series targets topics pertinent to today’s supervisors-such as managing complaints, resolving conflicts, developing skills to motivate and guide employees to success; utilizing behavior modeling techniques; and is comprised of the following:

Advanced Series:
Effective Discipline”- October 29, 8am-12pm, Judy Malone, instructor.
Sexual Harassment & Other Legal Issues”- November 12, 8am-12pm, Sue Shaner, instructor.

Additional Classes:
Improving Work Habits”- January 28, 8am-12pm, (seating limited to twelve participants)
Delegating”- February 25, 8am-12pm, (seating limited to twelve participants)

“E-mail Distribution Lists – Lunch ‘n Learn” will be held Monday, November 2 from 12-1 pm in McMillen Hall, Room 201 with Carrie Johnson as the instructor.  Let us treat you to a bite of lunch while you learn useful tips and tools to easily send messages to groups of people.

“Zero to Grant Proposal in 2 Weeks” is a workshop that will be held on Monday & Wednesday evenings from November 2-11 from 6 – 10 pm at North Platte Community College.  Do you want to make something incredible happen in your community?  Have you thought about applying for grant funding but was baffled by how to start?  This workshop will guide you step-by-step through the process of researching potential funders to completing a proposal package.  Those who attend have the potential to leave the last session with a general proposal for their project.  Registration deadline is Oct. 26.  For information or to register, contact Melissa Garcia at 535-3682 or email garciam@mpcc.edu.         

“Excel 2007-Intermediate” will be held Tuesdays, November 3, 10, & 17 from 6 – 9 pm with Carrie Johnson as the instructor.  Learn some of the Excel functions, such as formulas, managing multiple worksheets, database construction, filtering, sorting data and using workspace files.  Why not try this hybrid Webinar class either in the comfort of your home or office, or if you prefer, attend class on campus for a more traditional learning environment.  All you need is a computer and hands-free speakerphone.  Call for complete details.
