Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise Partners with Career Step to Help Students Train for Careers in Growing Healthcare Industry

The Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise has partnered with Career Step, a leading healthcare education company, to offer training to individuals interested in pursuing careers in medical transcription and medical coding and billing.

The new programs will expand Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise’s online learning opportunities. People who enroll in these online courses will have the flexibility to train entirely on their own schedules, increasing the career training options of many, especially non-traditional, students.

For a limited time, each person who enrolls in the program will receive a free laptop computer.

“We’re excited about the career training opportunities our partnership will bring to the students of Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise,” said Career Step’s Vice President of Academic Partners, Justin Pettit. “Through our partnership with Mid-Plains, students will gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the growing fields of medical transcription and medical coding and billing.”

The Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise will hold informational sessions at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in room 102 of North Platte Community College’s North Campus, 1101 Halligan Drive in North Platte.
