“Cancer and End-of-Life Care” will be the topic of a three-hour hospice seminar to be available at North Platte Community College’s North Campus and McCook Community College from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.

The 2010 teleconference will address care options related to cancer diagnoses, as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families, and professional care-givers. The conference will also examine the psychosocial aspects related to the disease.

Continuing education credits will be available for nurses, counselors, funeral directors, social workers, CAN’s, Emergency Medical Services staff, nursing home administrators, and others.

This seminar will be presented by the Hospice Foundation of America and will be the 17th annual telecast. Mid-Plains Community College has offered the hospice seminar every year since the seminars have been available.
